Le revolver 1868, le LF 27.

Introduction :

Le revolver « 1858 » et le « 1870 » de Marine sont les plus mythiques de l’épopée Lefaucheux.

Autant le revolver 1858 sera entièrement fabriqué dans la Manufacture de Saint-Etienne, autant le revolver 1870 le sera dans les ateliers du 194 rue Lafayette à Paris

L’histoire du revolver « 1870 de Marine » commence par une demande du 13 mars 1868, du Ministre au Président des Marchés Spéciaux de l’Artillerie et se terminera en septembre 1872.

Here is his big brother … his LF number was deleted for an unknown reason.
Nevertheless’ is a weapon realized before the LF 21 and LF 27.

Very happy, because finding a model that you have in the back of your head but that you have never seen a copy before is like finding the holy grail for a collector.
I had the same feelings the day I found the LF 28 (model 1854).
