I came into possesion of this devisme a couple of years ago now but don’t and can’t seem too find out much about it , looking for some advice cheers

Names ?
Numbers?
Years?

From this information there is a way to say more about this shotgun

Hi the numbers are 1949 and date is 1862 , also a DV with a crown above it , the barrels are only 19 inches long and 34 inches overall when put together

If 1862 is the year of manufacture, this would mean that Casimir Lefaucheux’s patent has fallen into the public domain.
So everyone is free to be able to make them.
DV with his crown could mean DeVisme…but I’m not sure
