Also, aren’t there snider markers on this gun? I don’t think that picture made it in.
Aaron, Here’s the rib on the gun. The Sneider patent possibly referred to is the device to hold the barrels on to the receiver shown on the receiver flats. Some years later Sneider accomplished the same thing with another patent using a cross bar across the barrel flats.
Those are really interesting cartridges. I understand the Smith cartridge with the screw in head. I have seen centerfires with a similar head design.
The Sneider cartridge baffles me. There must have been a special gun , which I have no knowledge of, that used a cartridge with the pin so far from the base or head. Do any of you know what that gun might have been ?
