5 L A matches the usual Kynoch code for 5th May 1926.
I have tins of 6mm Rimfire BB caps made in France for Eley with dot E headstamp and purplish white circles on the paper case rather than chequered pattern. So Eley had a French branch or had rimfire contract to make ammunition in France.
I have never heard of a Kynoch branch making ammo in France so I am interested.
